Day 4 of the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Major was the first day with a live audience in the Copper Box Arena, London. And the crowd lived up to all the hype surrounding their involvement and energy.
The Major, until Day 4, had a majority of sweeps and short, to-the-point series. While the players did their best to create a competitive and exciting show, the fans wanted more. They sought the heart-racing excitement that Rocket League Esports is known for.
And Day 4 delivered just that. All six series played on Saturday in front of 6,000+ fans, and thousands of viewers watching from their homes were the best Rocket League matches anyone could ever provide.

And Day 4 of the Spring Major lived up to everyone’s expectations and even went beyond. We witnessed some of the best professional Rocket League matches to have ever been played.
Let’s take a look at what happened on Day 4 of the Spring Major and what we can look forward to from Day 5.
Version1 Continue Their Rampage
The EU Slayers continued their rampage and paid no attention to the booing from the European crowd. Version1, which has cemented its role as the heel this Major, knocked the fan-favorite Karmine Corp to the lower bracket after a dramatic and close best of 7 series.
While Version1 started strong in the series and took game one in a commanding fashion, Karime Corp bounced back after calming their nerves, and both teams locked horns in a back-and-forth that brought the series to game 7 in Champions Field.
Neither team backed down and went all out in game 7, with an even 2-2 score at the end of regulation time. However, Karime Corp’s decision to keep the ball in play at 0 seconds cost them dearly as a miss in midfield led to a Version1 victory.
Comm, who has taken the role of public enemy #1 this major, instigated the crowd to continue booing them. The North American team stood firm against all odds and smashed their way into Championship Sunday.
Team Falcons Create History
The MENA team, which has won the hearts and minds of Rocket League fans around the world, continued their dominating performance on Day 4 of the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Major.
In their match against Spacestation Gaming, Team Falcon swooped in and terrorized their opponents for the first 3 games in the best of 7 series. Spacestation Gaming could not collect themselves and stand up against the MENA team that was towering over them.
However, on the edge of their tournament lives, Spacestation Gaming gathered themselves and put up an intense fight against Team Falcons. They pushed the series into game 7 and were threatening a reverse sweep.
But come what may, Team Falcons refused to be shot down. For the first time in RLCS, a “minor” region made it to Championship Sunday and secured their names as one of the Top 3 teams.
The crowd was ecstatic after witnessing the historic moment, and it doesn’t look like Team Falcons are going to slow down anytime soon. They face Version1 in the upper bracket final on Sunday, and the winner of that matchup will move on to the Grand Finals of the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Major.
Moist Esports Send Spacestation Gaming Packing Home Once Again
Moist Esports and Spacestation Gaming are on the path of creating a legendary rivalry after their faceoff in the Winter and Spring Majors.
The teams had to lock horns against each other for their tournament lives yet again, a repeat of what fans witnessed in the Winter Major at Los Angles. And with the stakes at an all-time high, neither of the teams was ready to go out silently.
Both teams fought against each other using everything they had in their tanks and put up a nail-biting competitive series that the fans will remember for a long time to come. A dramatic back and forth that saw the series go to Champions Field in game 7.
Just when it looked like Spacestation Gaming had secured their victory with 9 seconds on the clock, Moist Esports iced their way to an equalizer, forcing the game into overtime. And everyone knows you never challenge Moist Esports into a game 7 overtime.
Set up with an excellent pass from Joyo and his unexpected Musty Flick, Rise scored the goal that put the nail in the coffin of Spacestation Gaming. The #2 European team continues their miracle lower bracket run and will face Karmine Corp in the lower semi-finals on Sunday.
The RLCS 2021-22 Spring Major Championship Sunday is shaping up to be one of the best days that Rocket League Esports can produce.
With 4 more series remaining and the championship title on the line, who will rise to the occasion and make the crowds scream their name? We can’t wait to find out, and once the day is wrapped up, we’ll be here to summarize it for you.
